الحديث: 1


عَنْ عَبْدِ اﷲِ بْنِ مَسْعُوْدٍ رضی اﷲ عنهما، عَنْ رَسُوْلِ اﷲِ صلی الله عليه وآله وسلم ، قَالَ : إِنَّ اﷲَ أَمَرَنِيْ أَنْ أُزَوِّجَ فَاطِمَةَ مِنْ عَلِيٍّ. رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْمُعْجَمِ الْکَبِيْرِ.

Translation:

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that:

The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Allah Almighty has commanded me that I should marry Fatima to Ali.


This hadith has been narrated by Imam Tabarani in Al-Mujam Al-Kabeer.

الحديث: 2


عَنْ سَعِيْدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَبِ عَنْ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ قَالَتْ : زَوَّجَ رَسُوْلُ اﷲِ صلي الله عليه وآله وسلم ابْنَتَهُ فَاطِمَةَ مِنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِيْ طَالِبٍ وَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ عَلَی فَاطِمَةَ حَتَّی يَجِيْئَهُ. 

وَکَانَ الْيَهُوْدُ يُؤَخِّرُوْنَ الرَّّجُلَ عَنْ أَهْلِهِ. فَجَاءَ رَسُوْلُ اﷲِ صلی الله عليه وآله وسلم حَتَّی وَقَفَ بِالْبَابِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَاسْتَأْذَنَ فَأُذِنَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ : أَثَمَّ أَخِيْ؟ 

فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ : 

بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَارَسُوْلَ اﷲِ! مَنْ أَخُوْکَ؟ 

قَالَ : عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، قَالَتْ : وَکَيْفَ يَکُوْنُ أَخَاکَ وَقَدْ زَوَّجْتَهُ ابْنَتَکَ؟ 

قَالَ :هُوَ ذَاکَ يَا أُمَّ أَيْمًنَ، فَدَعَا بِمَاءِ إِنَاءٍ فَغَسَلَ فِيْهِ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ دَعَا عَلِيًّا فَجَلَسَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ فَنَضَخَ عَلَی صَدْرِهِ مِنْ ذَلِکَ الْمَاءِ وَبَيْنَ کَتِفَيْهِ، ثُمَّ دَعَا فَاطِمَةَ فَجَاءَتْ بِغَيْرِ خِمَارٍ تَعْثُرُ فِي ثَوْبِهَا ثُمَّ نَضَخَ عَلَيْهَا مِنْ ذَلِکَ الْمَاءِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : 

واﷲِ مَا أَلَوْتُ أَنْ زَوَّجْتُکِ خَيْرَ أَهْلِيْ وَ قَالَتْ أُمُّ أَيْمَنَ : 

وُلِيْتُ جِهَازَهَا فَکَانَ فِيْمَا جَهَزْتُهَا بِهِ مِرْفَقَةٌ مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيْفٌ، وَبَطْحَاءُ مَفْرُوشٌ فِي بَيْتِهَا. 

رَوَاهُ ابْنُ سَعْدٍ فِي الطَّبَقَاتِ الْکُبْرَیٰ

Translation:

Hazrat Saeed bin Musaib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from Hazrat Umm Ayman (may Allah be pleased with him)

He said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married his daughter Hazrat Fatima (May Allah be satisfied with her) to Hazrat Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him).

And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered them to go to Fatima Until he came to Hazrat Fatima (This command was given to oppose the Jews because it was the custom of the Jews to delay the first meeting of the husband with his wife.)

So the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came until he stood at the door.

He greeted them and asked permission to come inside So the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was allowed,

it is said by Hazrat Muhammad(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) :

Is my brother here?

So Umm Ayman said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)!

My parents sacrifice you.

Who is your brother

it is said by Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) :

My brother is Ali ibn Abi Talib.

Then he said:

O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! How can he be your brother?

Although you have married your daughter to him.

it is said by Hazrat Muhammad peace to be upon him :

O Umm Ayman! That's the way it is

Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for a vessel of water and wash your hands in it and sat down in front of Hazrat Ali and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sprinkled some of this water on the chest of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and some between the shoulders of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).






Then he called Hazrat Fatima (May Allah be satisfied with her) So you come wrapped in your clothes The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sprinkled that water on Hazrat Fatima (may God be pleased with her) and said:

swear to God!

O, Fatima! I married you to the best person in my family and I have not done you any harm.

Hazrat Umm Ayman (May Allah be satisfied with her) says:

That I was given the responsibility of dowry of Hazrat Fatima

So one of the things that were made in the dowry of Hazrat Fatima (may God be pleased with her) was a leather pillow Which was full of palm bark and there was a bed that was laid in the house of Hazrat Fatima.


It is narrated by Ibn Sa'd in Al-Tabqat Al-Kubra.

الحديث: 3


:عَنْ أَنَسٍ رضی الله عنه، قَالَ

بَيْنَمَا رَسُوْلُ اﷲِ صلی الله عليه وآله وسلم فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، 

:إِذْ قَالَ صلی الله عليه وآله وسلم لِعَلِيٍّ

هَذَا جِبْرِيْلُ يُخْبِرُنِيْ أَنَّ ﷲَ عزوجل زَوَّجَکَ فَاطِمَةَ، وَ أَشْهَدَ عَلَی تَزْوِيْجِکَ أَرْبَعِيْنَ أَلْفَ مَلَکٍ، وَ أَوْحٰی إِليَ شَجَرَةِ طُوْبٰی أَنِ انْثُرِيْ عَلَيْهِمُ الدُّرَّ وَاليَاقُوْتَ، 

فَنَثَرَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الدُّرَّ وَ اليَاقُوْتَ، فَابْتَدَرَتْ إِلَيْهِ الْحُوْرُ الْعِيْنُ يَلْتَقِطْنَ مِنْ أَطْبَاقِ الدُّرِّ وَ اليَاقُوْتِ، 

فَهُمْ يَتَهَادُوْنَهُ بَيْنَهُمْ إِليَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ. 

رَوَاهُ مُحِبُّ الدِّيْنِ أَحْمَدُ الطَّبْرِيُّ فِي الرِّيَاضِ النَّضِرَةِ.


(الحديث رقم 14 : أخرجه محب الدين أحمد الطبري في الرياض النضره في مناقب العشره، 3 / 146 و في ذخائر العقبي في مناقب ذَوِي القربي : 72)




Translation:

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was present in the mosque The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Hazrat Ali (May Allah be pleased with him):

This is Jibril Amin (peace be upon him) Those who are informing me Allah has married you to Fatima.

And forty thousand angels participated in the marriage ceremony as witnesses to your marriage And Allah said to the tree of Tobi:

Sprinkle on them pearls and rubies,

The maidens with beautiful eyes began to fill the plate with those pearls and rubies.

The angels (who attend the marriage ceremony) will continue to give them as gifts to each other till the Day of Resurrection.


It has been narrated by Imam Mohib-ud-Din Ahmad Al-Tabari.

الحديث: 4 

عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رضی الله عنه قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ ﷲِ صلي الله عليه وآله وسلم : أَتَانِي مَلَکٌ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ! إِنَّ ﷲَ تَعَالٰي يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْکَ السَّلَامَ، وَ يَقُوْلُ لَکَ : إِنِّيْ قَدْ زَوَّجْتُ فَاطِمَةَ ابْنَتَکَ مِنْ عَلِيِّّ بْنِ أَبِيْ طَالِبٍ فِيْ المَلَأِ الْأَعْلَي، فَزَوِّجْهَا مِنْهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ. 

رَوَاهُ مُحِبُّ الدِّيْنِ أَحْمَدُ الطَّبْرِيُّ فِي ذَخَائِرِ الْعُقْبَي


(الحديث رقم 15 : أخرجه محب الدين أحمد الطبري في ذخائر العقبي في مناقب ذوي القربي : 73)





Translation:

It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Ali (as) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

An angel came to me and said: O Muhammad (saws)!

The Allah Almighty has sent peace upon you and said:

I have married your daughter Fatima to Ali ibn Abi Talib in the highest public.

So, O Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! On earth also you marry Fatima to Ali.
