Real Story Behind Holi?
In the Braj region of India, where the Hindu deities Radha and Krishna grew up, the festival is celebrated until Rang Panchmi in commemoration of their divine love for each other.
The festivities officially usher in spring, with Holi celebrated as a festival of love.
There is a symbolic legend behind the festival.
What is the real story of Holi?
Holi also celebrates the Hindu god Krishna and the legend of Holika and Prahlad.
Hiranyakashipu was an evil king.
He had special powers that made him nearly invincible and he wanted everyone in his kingdom to worship him.
He was so powerful he started to act like a god and punished or killed anyone who disobeyed him.
Why do Hindus celebrate Holi with Colours?
But how did colors become part of Holi?
This dates back to the period of Lord Krishna (reincarnation of Lord Vishnu).
It is believed that Lord Krishna used to celebrate Holi with colors and hence popularized the same.
He used to play Holi with his friends at Vrindavan and Gokul.
What is the main purpose of Holi?
The Holi Festival is celebrated as a way to welcome spring, and also is seen as a new beginning where people can release all their inhibitions and start fresh.
It is said that during the Holi Festival, the gods turn a blind eye, and it's one of the few times extremely devout Hindus allow themselves to let loose.

Holi, which is the motto of non-Muslims, is haram. The Muslim who participates is obliged to repent and renew his faith and renew his marriage.

Sharh Bukhari Hazrat Allama Mufti Muhammad Sharif ul Haq Amjadi (may Allah have mercy on him) writes:
It is haraam to greet Holi or Diwali Rather, it is the source of disbelief.

On the occasion of Holi, it is also illegal and sinful to apply a small amount of color knowing it is bad.

If Kafir gives sweets on the day of Holi or Diwali, do not take them.
If you give another day, take it. But don't think that their evil is the sweetness of the festival

It is not permissible for a Muslim to greet Hindus on the occasion of Holi, Diwali, or any other religious festival.
And if the purpose is to honor and glorify them, then there is also the danger of disbelief.
Sweets gave by Hindus on the occasion of Diwali, etc. It is permissible to use something which is a mixture of haraam and impure things, however, precaution is better.
Moreover, if a non-Muslim offers something on the occasion of his festival, he should not be congratulated on the occasion.
