The importance and virtues of Shab-e-Barat in the light of Hadiths

Dear Readers:

Hadiths are narrated from ten (10) Companions Rizwanullah Alayhim Ajmeen about Shab Barat

In which the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) has described the virtue of this night.

Allah, glory unto Him, has preferred some days over ordinary days, On Friday, on all days of the week, on the month of Ramadan, on all months, on the hour of acceptance, on all hours, on the night of Laylat al-Qadr.

The virtue and characteristic of this blessed night are proved by the hadiths Which encourages Muslims to cultivate a taste for obedience and worship on this night.

In the hadiths of Mubarakah "Laylat al-Nisf min Shaban" That is, the 15th night of Sha'ban has been declared Shab Barat, This night is interpreted for this reason that by worshiping on this night, Allah, by His mercy, saves man from the torment of Hell and gives him salvation.

As suggested at the outset that there are narrations from ten Companions Ridwanullah Alaihim Ajmaeen in its virtue, Therefore, the virtue and importance of this night cannot be denied.

Some of these all hadith are as follows:

Non-Muqlid scholar Shams-ul-Haq Azimabadi Sahib writes: The seventh night of the month of Sha'ban is very honorable Praying prayers and asking for prayers is a reward There is no sahih hadith against it.

(Fataawa Shams-ul-Haq Page No. 182 Non-Muqlid Aalam)

What do the non-Muqlidin who call the worship of Shab-e-Barat as bid'ah and those who write bid'ah bid'ah say now?

All people are forgiven in Shab-e-Barat but some people are not forgiven. That is,

the night of the fifteenth of Sha'ban That is, On the night of Barat, Allah Almighty bestows forgiveness on all people, Except for the polytheists and the haters.

(Series of Sahih Hadith Sahiha Page No. 135 Muhaddith Al-Wahaabia Shaykh Nasir Al-Albani writes: This Hadith is Sahih)

Translation: It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Indeed, Allah has mercy on His, Verily, Allah shows mercy in the middle of the night of Shabaan. So Allah forgives all His creatures Except for the polytheists and the Haters.

"Haters" A commentary has also been made on a person who has taken a different path from the Muslim community.

(Musnad Ishaq bin Rahawiyah 3/1, footnote of Ibn Majah p. 2)

In the narration of Hazrat Uthman bin Abi Al-Aas (May Allah be pleased with him), “Adulterer” has also been mentioned. And in a narration of Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqah (May Allah be pleased with him) "Relationship breaker", "Hanging cloth below the ankles", "Disobedient to parents and addicted to alcohol" "And the drummer" Has also come.

And in some traditions

It seems that from the hadiths it is known that in this blessed night of general forgiveness, there is no forgiveness for fourteen (14) types of men.

Therefore, these people should correct their situation:

(1) A polytheist, suffering from any kind of polytheism

(2) Hate and enmity towards anyone without any Shariah reason

(3) Separating from Jamaat-e-Ahl-e-Haq

(4) Adulterous men and women

(5) Relationship breaker

(6) The one who hangs his clothes below the ankles

(7) Disobedient to parents

(8) Intoxication through alcohol or any other substance

(9) Killer of oneself or another

(10) Forced tax collector

(11) The sorcerer

12) The one who tells the news of the unseen by looking at the handprints etc.

(13) The one who gives news by seeing the stars or by divination

(14) Drum and Band Master

(Shaab-ul-Iman 1/2, 2, Al-Targhib Wal-Tarhib 1/2, Mazahir-e-Haq Jadeed 1/2, 3), (Marah Sharh Mushkoot)

Hazrat Ayesha Siddique (May Allah be pleased with him) says:

The Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

"Do you know what happens on the fifteenth night of Sha'ban?"

I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to tell me.

It was said that: "As many as are born next year they are all written tonight And all the people who are going to die next year They are also written in this night And on this night the deeds of the people throughout the year are taken up And in it, the people are given a fixed provision."

(Mushkaat Volume 1 Page 277)

According to a tradition, Hazrat Maula Ali Karam says the reason

The Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

When it is the fifteenth night of Sha'ban, you should stay up on that night And fast on that day,

Indeed, the Almighty descends the heavens on the earth at sunset according to His condition on that night.

(Ibn Majah, Sunan, 1: 444, Kitab Iqamah As-Salat wal-Sunnah fiha, Bab Ma Jaa fi Laylat al-Nasf min Sha'ban, No. 1388)

The supererogatory worship should be performed on this night as much as possible, Recite the Holy Quran, Pray that all these acts of worship can be performed on this night.

On the contrary, some people are less fortunate Those who think Hereafter in this holy night And instead of engaging in worship and prayer, They get involved in more and more bad deeds, fireworks And crackers And engage in other illegal activities They desecrate this blessed night.

However, fireworks and firecrackers are not only a threat to the lives of these people and their children and It also endangers the lives of the people around Such people become involved in the sin of wasting wealth.

We must avoid such sins ourselves And save others too.

Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Muhaddith Barelvi (may Allah have mercy on him) says:

Fireworks are definitely forbidden There is a loss of wealth in it.

In the Qur'an, such people are called brothers of Satan, He said:

"And don't waste it Indeed, the losers of wealth are the brothers of Satan".
