The Virtue and Importance of Sha'ban al-Mu'azzam, Nawafil, and Worship of Shab e Barat
Dear Readers:
The eighth month of the Islamic year is Sha'ban al-Mu'azzam The reason for this is that Sha'ban is derived from Tash'aab and the meaning of Tash'aab is to differentiate.
Because even in this month, good things happen, Also, during this month, various provisions are distributed to the people.
The doors of mercy and forgiveness of Allah, the Lord of Glory, remain open, By the way, doors are always open to everyone.
لَاتَقْنَطُوْا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللّٰه
Do not despair of Allah's mercy.
The river of divine mercy is always flowing in the atmosphere. The canopy of His mercy always casts a shadow over His servants
It is the glory of this being to keep the creatures in its shadow of affection.
May this Forgiving, Merciful and Compassionate Lord bestow special blessings and good deeds in a few hours on the occasion of any occasion to bestow more grace on His helpless creatures and to forgive and pardon the sins and transgressions of His sinful servants. In which the sea of His mercy and forgiveness and gifts Assurgent
And whom he bestows with the honor of special acceptance.
In those special moments, special days, and special months that have this virtue
The rain of mercy of the Lord of the Universe is greater than usual
In these special hours, the month of Sha'ban has a special significance and virtue.
Allah Almighty has chosen four months out of the months of the year, Rajab, Shaban, Ramadan, and Muharram.
chose Sha'ban from among them
And the month of Shaban was chosen by the Blessed Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
And declared it the month of the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
Therefore, Sha'ban is a blessed month, In which the doors of all goodness are opened
Blessings are sent down from heaven, Sinners are forgiven and the evils are erased.
That is why Sha'ban is called 'Al-Muqafir', That is to say, the month that becomes the source of forgiveness of sins.
It is stated in the hadith that Sha'ban is therefore called Sha'ban That there are many benefits for the fasting person until he enters heaven.

The following famous events took place in Sha'ban al-Mu'azzam:
(1) On the 5th of this month, the birth of Hazrat Imam Hussain (Radi Allahu Anhu) was blessed.
(2) On the fifteenth day of the same month, Shab Barat, that is, Laylat Mubarak
In which many members of the Muslim Ummah are forgiven.
(3) In the same holy month, Masjid Zarar was burnt down.
Note: The mosque of Zarar which is mentioned in the Qur'an was built by a group of hypocrites near Qaba Mosque at the behest of an enemy of Islam Abu Amir and invited the Messenger of Allah to offer prayers in it. This verse of Surah At-Tawbah was revealed on this occasion:
“And those who harmed the Muslims, committed acts of disbelief and caused discord among the Muslims, and made a place of refuge for the one who is the enemy of Allah and His Messenger. Don't stay (never pray). "
So, in this verse, the definition of Masjid-e-Zarar has been explained. That is, the construction of this mosque is intended to harm the Muslims. If the purpose is to strengthen disbelief, if the intention is to disperse the Shiraz of the Muslims, and if it becomes an ambush for people who are fighting against Allah and His Messenger, then this mosque will be a loss. On the contrary, whatever mosque is built for the pleasure of Allah and is based on piety and faith, is correct and correct. This Zarar mosque was burnt down or demolished so that it could not become a base for conspiracies against Muslims and a refuge for the enemies of Islam.
(4) In the same blessed month, the false claimant of prophethood, Musalman, the liar, was sent to hell.
(5) In the same blessed month, the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) married Umm Al-Mu'minin Hazrat Safia (Radi Allahu Anha).
(6) It was decided to reveal the Holy Quran in this blessed month.
(7) On the sixteenth day of the same month, the qibla was ordered to be handed over. At the beginning of Islam, for some time, Jerusalem remained the qibla and then the Almighty, according to the will of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), made the Kaaba the qibla of the Muslims.
From that time onwards, Muslims always prayed facing the Kaaba

Hadith Shareef
The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Shaaban is my month and Ramadaan is the month of Allaah.
(Al Jame ul Sagheer 4889 Page 301)
It is narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik:
The Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
Sha'ban is called Sha'ban because many virtues are spread in this month due to respect for Ramadan and Ramadan is called Ramadan because many sins are burnt in this month.
The revelation of the verse of Durood and Salam:
Imam Qastalani has said a subtle thing in Al-Mawahib Al-Laduniya:
Translation: Of course, Sha'ban is also the month of sending blessings and peace upon the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
Because this is the month in which the verse of Durood and Salam was revealed.
(Al-Qastalani Al-Mawahib Al-Duniya 2/650)
This verse was revealed in the month of Sha'ban
So Sha'ban is also related to the blessings and peace of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).
And with Allah's forgiveness and repentance, The worship of this month and Shab-e-Barat also brings one closer to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)
And also nearness to Allah.
People deprive of forgiveness and mercy on the 15th night of Sha'ban
There are some unfortunates who are deprived of the good and blessings of this night
As mentioned in the hadiths:
They are:
Associating partners with Allah,
Hateful and malignant, wicked,
Unjustly killing a human being,
Detached from relatives,
A man wearing pajamas below the ankles,
Disobedient to parents, addicted to alcohol.
We are not one of them, If not, give thanks to Allah Otherwise, there is a place to think
Ruling on going to the graveyard that night:
It is a good thing to go to the graveyard tonight and offer prayers for your loved ones.
It is commanded in the hadiths that sometimes one should visit the graves.
Fireworks:
On this night, even several days before the fireworks start, firecrackers are fired. One is to waste one's wealth and the other is an unnecessary extravagance.
Concerning which it is stated in the Holy Qur'an:
"Those who believe are the brothers of the devils."
(Israel: 27)
That is, "Indeed, those who spend extravagantly are brothers of Satan."
And he said:
"Do not waste it, do not love the wasteful."
(Reward: 141)
"That is, do not be extravagant because Allah Almighty does not like extravagant people."
Protection from magic all year round
On Fifteen the night of Shab-e-Barat, by Berry boiling seven leaves in boiling water and taking a bath, inshallah, they will be protected from the effects of magic all year round.
The Prevalent Fireworks Related to Shab-e-Barat is Haram
Regretfully this sinful tradition of fireworks on the eve of Shab-e-Barat is proliferating among Muslims. It is stated in ‘Islami Zindagi’: Muslims waste millions of rupees in practicing this tradition and every year many cases are reported that so many houses burnt down due to the fireworks and so many persons burnt to death. This sinful activity is a serious risk for life, wealth, and assets.
(Islamic Zindagi, p. 78)
Who Invented Fireworks?
Dear Islamic brothers! الحمدللہ عزوجل, Shab-e-Barat is the night to acquire freedom and salvation from the fire of Hell but unfortunately, a large number of Muslims waste their hard-earned money in buying fire for themselves in the form of firecrackers and varieties of fireworks thereby violating the holiness of this night.
The renowned commentator of the Holy Quran, Mufti Ahmad Yar Khan علیہ الرحمۃ الرحمٰن has mentioned in his booklet ‘Islami Zindagi’: ‘It is really a great deprivation to spend this night in committing sins. It is said that fireworks were invented by Namrud. When Sayyiduna Ibrahim علیہ السلام was put into the fire, the fire extinguisher and turned into a garden of flowers. So Namrud’s people prepared firecrackers and after setting these alight fired towards Sayyiduna Ibrahim علیہ السلام. (Islami Zindagi, p. 77)
Six Nawafil after Salat-ul-Maghrib
To offer specific six Rakat of Nafl after the Fard and Sunan of Salat-ul-Maghrib is one of the traditions of the pious saints رحمھم اللہ تعالٰی of Islam. After offering the Fard and Sunan etc., offer six Rakat of Nafl in sets of two.
Before offering the first two Rakat, make the intention: ‘Ya Allah عزوجل! By the virtue of these two Rakat, grant me long life with wellbeing.’ Similarly, before offering the second two Rakat, make the intention: ‘Ya Allah عزوجل! By the virtue of these two Rakat, protect me from calamities.’ Before offering the last two Rakat, make the intention: ‘Ya Allah عزوجل! By the virtue of these two Rakat, do not make me dependent on anyone except You.’ After every two Rakat, recite Surah al-Ikhlas twenty-one times or Surah Yasin once. If possible, recite both. It is also possible that one Islamic brother recites Surah Yasin while the rest listen to it. Keep in mind that the other Islamic brother(s) should not recite Surah Yasin etc. aloud individually while recitation is already taking place loudly. ان شاء اللہ عزوجل! A huge reward will pile up for you at the very beginning of the blessed night. Each time after Surah Yasin, recite the Dua of mid-Shaban.
